Pastor Samuel Wilson

Samuel Everett Wilson was born April 23, 1969, to Roosevelt Taylor and Doris Wilson. Shortly after he was a year old, he fell out of a bed and suffered a severe head injury which caused his brain to swell. The doctors were not hopeful that he would live, but if he did, he would not live a normal life. His mother prayed and made a vow that if God healed her son, she would give him back to the Lord. By the grace of God, Samuel made a full recovery, and like Hannah, his mother kept her word and raised him in the beauty of Holiness.

As a child Samuel attended True Vine church of God in Christ, where he was taught faithfully about the Lord under Pastor A.D. Rylander. Later he and his family became members of Bethel COGIC which eventually became Kingdom Harvest Church of God in Christ under the leadership of his uncle Bishop Dexter Coleman.

On July 24, 1999, Samuel married the love of his life (after God) LaKesha Wrighter. Together they reared 3 children, Eboni, Adrianna, & TyJai. On July 24, 2004, Samuel surrendered his life to Christ and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost. He was a member of Zion Apostolic Temple for 10 years under the tutelage of Bishop Leon Parker and during this time he answered the Lord’s call to ministry.  He served as an armor bearer for over 10 years as God sanctified him for his calling. He was later elevated to the office of an elder and God continued to prepare him for what was to come.  Today he is the founding Pastor of God’s Head-Lifting Grace Church. A place where people are inspired, encouraged, and empowered to walk in the beauty of Holiness.
