District Elder & Evangelist Jimmy Walker

Evangelist Jimmy Walker was born October 21, 1948, to Bennett E. Walker and Catherine Lacour Gueory in Shreveport, Louisiana. Family moved to Houston, Texas in 1952.

 

At the age of nineteen Evangelism Jim Walker had a spiritual experience in an open vision from God. Which led to him the fulfillment of an earlier experience at age of 10 years to preach the gospel and seeking

salvation from a life of sin.

 

In 1971, having turned from a life of militancy and worldly behavior, Evangelist Walker gave his life to Christ followed by receiving the baptism of the Holy Ghost, at Harris Temple Church of God in Christ, Houston, Texas.

 

By 1972, Evangelism Jim Walker answer the call to ministry and begun preaching on street corners throughout Houston. That same year, led by the Holy Spirit, joined Apostolic House of Prayer and Life, in Houston’s Third Ward District, under the Leadership of Pastor-Prophetess Carrie Arnold, and became licensed and ordained enjoying spiritual growth and development made for a blessing to conduct revivals in surrounding counties.

 

In 1973, Evangelist Jim Walker joined the Evangelist Fred Thomas Apostolic Ministries of Los Angeles, California and traveled assisting under the great tent revivals throughout Texas and California. Spring 1973, Evangelist received an Honorary Ministry License from Bishop Bolden of the Rock of Salvation Holiness Church, to perform Jail and Hospital ministry.

 

By 1975, Evangelist Jim Walker returned to COGIC to pastor a local church in Houston’s Fifth Ward and in May 1976, Evangelist Walker was Ordained under the leadership of District Superintendent E. West for the eastern District of Texas.

 

1976 – 1980, Evangelist Jim Walker continued to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ at various non- denominational ministries throughout Texas, and Louisiana.

 

From 1990 through the present, Evangelist Jim Walker moved to Washington, D.C. and came of the covering of Bishop A. Daniel Smith, Founder & Pastor of Faith temple Church For All Nations Pentecostal Deliverance Ministries, 1719 North Capital Street, NE, Washington, D.C. 20002.

On February 13th, 2013, Evangelist & Pastor Jimmy Walker became Pastor and Founder of the Temple Of Faith Evangelist church, Inc., Amelia County, Virginia.

In 2022 – Present, Evangelist Jim Walker organized and incorporated Pastors Alliance of Churches, Inc. a non-denominational fellowship of local pastors to labor to assist churches affected by the Pandemic.
