Bishop Timothy Stewart is a passionate and seasoned minister of the gospel, known for
his dynamic preaching and unwavering commitment to spreading the Word of God.
Born on February 12, 1965, he is the second child and eldest son of the late Bishop
Clarence Stewart, Jr. and Dr. Carrie Lee Stewart. His journey in Christ began
early—baptized by Elder Richard Johnson in 1973 and filled with the Holy Ghost in
1980. Just three years later, on May 30, 1983, he answered the call to ministry and
began preaching throughout the city of Houston.
Elder Stewart’s academic journey began in Houston, attending East Houston
Elementary, Kirby Middle School, and M.B. Smiley High School. After high school, he
enrolled at Texas Southern University before joining the U.S. Army in 1984. Even while
serving in the military, Elder Stewart remained devoted to his calling, ministering to
fellow soldiers and superiors alike. While stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii, he studied
theology at Wayland Baptist University and preached regularly at his local church under
the leadership of District Elder Restee Collins (PAW).
After his honorable discharge in 1988, he returned to Houston and continued his
theological education at Emmanuel Bible Institution, under the deanship of his father,
Bishop Stewart. He faithfully assisted in ministry, evangelized across Texas and the
southern United States, and helped plant and support numerous churches.
On March 23, 1992, Elder Stewart married Sister Gail Stewart. Together, they have
ministered across the country—including Colorado, Mississippi, Louisiana, North
Carolina, and Texas—and have been blessed with four beautiful daughters. Elder
Stewart has served in various leadership roles including Associate and Assistant Pastor
and is widely known as "The Word Preacher" and “The Anointed Preaching Machine”
for his powerful, scripture-filled delivery.
In July 2022, Elder Stewart and his family became members of Oneness Apostolic
Church under the leadership of Founder Overseer Richard Johnson. On August 6,
2023, Elder Stewart humbly accepted the role of Pastor of the Oneness Apostolic
Church. He continues to serve with humility, passion, and purpose as he furthers his
education in Theology at Regent University.
To God be the glory for all He has done and continues to do through the life and ministry
of Elder Timothy Stewart!
