District Elder & Teacher Charles Lyles

Elder Charles E. Lyles is a native of Graham, Texas born on October 23, 1959.  He grew up in Mineral Wells, Texas where he graduated from high school in 1978.  Elder Lyles enlisted in the U.S. Army immediately after high school graduation where he served for a term of four years stationed in Stuttgart, Germany.  While stationed in Germany he met and married Alison Marie Minter from Apex, North Carolina.  After leaving Germany in 1982 the Lyles were stationed at Fort Hood, Texas and took up residence in nearby Temple where they currently reside..  In Temple they were baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the Holy Spirit while attending and becoming members of a Pentecostal Assemblies of the World local church.  He and Sister Lyles became very active in the church.  Elder Lyles served in many positions in the church serving as a choir member, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school superintendent, a junior Deacon and later as Head Deacon and eventually a licensed minister.  In 1997 Elder Lyles began pastoring and later joined the Texas District Council of the Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith under the leadership of Bishop Nathaniel L. Hinton.  While in the PCAF he served as Vice Chairmen of the Texas State District Council and was also promoted to serve as a District Elder.

Elder Liles studied Theology at Biblical Apostolic University and is known as an anointed Bible teacher.  He and Sister Lyles are the proud parents of their one and only child (Alan Lyles, 25).  In April of 2022 Elder and Sister Lyles will be celebrating 40 years of marriage.
